SEUSS Under the Direction of: Diredtor Diana Fife Music Director-Marilyn Walters Technical Director-Katie Boyd Chereography Becky Jones * Mary JO Worthington "Oh the places you'll go" as you take a journey with the boy JoJo and the Cat in the Hat through a world of imagination based on the stories of Theodor Geisel, who is known to most of us as Dr. Seuss. The plot of several Seuss book, including The CAT in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and Horton Hatches an Egg are Woven together to create the storyline of Seussical the Musical. This story takes place in two different worlds. One of these worlds is the Jungle of Nool, which is inhabited by Horton the Elephant and miscellaneoous jungle creatures; the other is the small planet of Who, which is the size of a dust speck. When Horton the Elephant hears a cry for help from the Mayor of Whoville, the two stories come together. A young boy maned JoJo is thrown into the story, literally, by the Cat in the Hat who plays many roles in the story and serves as Master of Ceremonies. Add in a beautiful bired who is reluctant to take on the role of parenthood, three trouble-making monkeys a plain bird who wishes for a beautiful tail, a General who is going to war over whether people whold eat their bread butter-side up or down, and a Kangaroo who is determined to prove Horton is crazy for thinking people live on a dust-speck, and mayhem ensues.
