Portia Favro is a multi-platform journalist with a specialization in broadcast, currently based out of Toronto. Her work has been published and broadcast on CHBC Global Okanagan, The Take Media,McClung's Magazine, the Kelowna Daily Courier, The Hockey News Kelowna Capital News and more. She is currently finishing her final year at Ryerson University. Portia spent her last year working as the Arts and Life Editor for the Ryersonian, and also on a feature documentary about paranormal activity. Portia will be working at CTV's Canada AM in 2012 for her practicum. When she's not reporting the news, Portia works as a contemporary and modern dancer/choreographer. She has showcased her talents across California and British Columbia, and has won several awards and scholarships for her performances and original choreography. Portia has choreographed for various clients, including the City of Kelowna, Oranj Dance and Fitness, Okanagan School District #23, Floorplay Canada, Kelowna's Centre of Gravity Festival and more. She has also served as a faculty member and artistic assistant to various dance studios in the Okanagan.
